FAIRFAX STATION, Va. (April 26, 2016)Balint Charities accepted a $5,000 donation today from the women’s giving circle 100 Women Who Care Northern Virginia (100 WWC). The giving circle selected Balint Charities as their first quarter funding recipient at their February 4th meeting. Monies donated will supply musical instruments and books for children in schools that have little or no funding for these items.

“It is a thrill to learn that Balint Charities was selected by 100 Women Who Care for this quarter’s donation,” stated Kathleen Christesen, Founder and President of Balint Charities. “It is pure joy to see the happiness in the eyes of children when they receive a new book to read or the musical instrument that enables them to be a part of the school band. That is why we do what we do and we appreciate the financial help of this gift that will help fuel our passion to provide books and bands for everyone.”

“And this is why we do what we do,” added Traci Richards, Co-Founder of 100 WWC Northern Virginia. “To be able to help worthy organizations realize their mission means we are impacting and making differences in the lives of many. In this case, the monies will instill a love of books and music in children that will last their entire lives.”

If you would like to be part of this simple yet impactful group of women making a difference in our local community, please join them at their next meeting, which will be held on May 5, 2016 at 7:30 pm at George Mason Regional Library located at 7001 Little River Turnpike in Annandale, Va. Meetings last one hour. For more information please visit their website at www.100wwcnova.org or email them at info@100wwcnova.org.
